How to Prepare for an Online Interview
An online interview is basically like an in-person interview but with the need of technical preparations and a good background. Follow these steps for a higher chance of getting the job.
1. Research the Company
It’s practically impossible to go for an interview with any knowledge about the company. Before applying for a job or going for an interview you need to learn about :
- The company’s long term goals and values
- The kind out products or services they provide
- Their latest accomplishments and recent news
- Key qualities and major keywords listed in the job descriptions
2. Review Your Resume
You have to be able to defend your resume and elaborate more one the information you gave them about you. Be ready to discuss:
- Your educational journey and experiences
- Your most relevant accomplishments
- Qualities that the role requires
- Major breaches in your career life
3. Practice Common Interview Questions
Prepare answers for questions that pertain to your personal life and work life, like:

- What makes you fit for the job?

10. Follow Up Afterwards
Send an email about 24 hours after your interview expressing your appreciation, the opportunity to have an interview with them and stating your interest for the job one more time.
