We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information. This Privacy Policy applies when you visit MyCVCreator.com, create an account, use our Services, join the MyCVCreator Talent Network, communicate with us, or otherwise interact with us.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account and contact information
We may collect your name, email address, telephone number, country, account credentials, communication preferences, and other information you provide when creating or managing an account.
1.2 Resume, career, and application information
When you use our career tools, we may collect information contained in resumes, CVs, cover letters, professional profiles, questionnaires, certificates, portfolios, and other uploaded or entered content. This may include employment history, education, qualifications, skills, professional interests, preferred roles, salary expectations, work authorization, availability, and location preferences.
Please avoid including sensitive personal information that is unnecessary for providing the Services or matching you with employment opportunities.
1.3 Uploaded files and generated content
We may collect documents, images, audio, video, interview responses, and other files you upload. We also store resumes, cover letters, professional summaries, interview feedback, and other content generated through our Services so that you can access, edit, or download them.
1.4 Payment and transaction information
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. We may receive transaction identifiers, payment status, billing contact information, and limited payment-related details. We do not ordinarily receive or store complete payment-card numbers.
1.5 Device, usage, and technical information
We may automatically collect your IP address, device and browser information, operating system, referring pages, pages visited, feature usage, approximate location derived from IP address, timestamps, diagnostic data, and security logs.

provide Talent Network and recruitment-matching features when you voluntarily enable them.
3. MyCVCreator Talent Network
3.1 Voluntary participation
The MyCVCreator Talent Network is an optional service that helps participating users be considered for relevant employment opportunities from verified employers, staffing firms, recruitment agencies, and other recruitment partners (collectively, "Recruitment Partners").
Joining the Talent Network is not required to create a resume, use our general Services, or maintain a MyCVCreator account. We will not enroll existing users solely because this Privacy Policy has been updated. Where consent is the applicable lawful basis, you must actively opt in before your profile becomes available through the Talent Network.
3.2 Information used for matching
If you join the Talent Network, we may use information such as your experience, education, skills, qualifications, preferred roles, seniority, location, work authorization, availability, and other professional information to assess potential matches with active job opportunities.
3.3 Anonymous profile searches
Recruitment Partners may initially receive limited or pseudonymized profile summaries that exclude direct identifiers such as your name, personal email address, telephone number, street address, and full resume document. An anonymous or pseudonymized profile may still be personal information where it can be linked back to you, and we protect it accordingly.
3.4 Profile introductions and disclosure
When a Recruitment Partner identifies a potential match, it may request access to additional information or an introduction. Depending on the consent and controls available in your account, we may notify you of the opportunity and request your approval before providing your identity, contact information, or full resume.
We will disclose only the information reasonably necessary for the recruitment purpose communicated to you. You may decline an introduction without losing access to our general Services.
3.5 Automated matching
We may use software, algorithms, and artificial intelligence to compare professional profiles with job requirements and rank or recommend potential matches. These tools may consider job-related information such as skills, qualifications, experience, location, and stated preferences.
Automated matching is intended to support—not replace—human recruitment decisions. My CV Creator does not guarantee an interview, offer, placement, or any particular employment outcome. Where applicable law grants rights relating to solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects, you may request information, express your views, contest a decision, or request human review.
3.6 Payments from Recruitment Partners
My CV Creator may receive integration fees, subscriptions, profile-access fees, referral fees, placement fees, or other compensation from Recruitment Partners for recruitment technology, matching, introductions, or related services. Such compensation does not give a Recruitment Partner ownership of your personal information or permission to use it for unrelated purposes.
We do not permit unrestricted access to or bulk harvesting of our user database. We do not provide personal information to a Recruitment Partner in exchange for payment unless the disclosure is permitted by applicable law and is consistent with the choices, notices, and authorizations provided to you.
3.7 Your Talent Network controls
Subject to feature availability, you may manage your visibility, pause your profile, decline an introduction, withdraw from the Talent Network, or request deletion through your account settings or by contacting support@mycvcreator.com. Withdrawal does not affect processing that lawfully occurred before withdrawal. A Recruitment Partner that already received your information may be required to retain limited information where legally necessary, but it may not continue using the information for unrelated purposes.
4. Lawful Bases for Processing
Depending on your location and the activity involved, we rely on one or more of the following lawful bases:
Contract: processing necessary to provide Services you request or take steps at your request before entering a contract;
Consent: processing you have affirmatively agreed to, including optional Talent Network participation, certain disclosures, marketing, or non-essential cookies where required;
Legitimate interests: operating, securing, analyzing, and improving the Services; preventing fraud; protecting users; and conducting appropriate business activities, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights;
Legal obligation: processing necessary to meet legal, tax, accounting, regulatory, or law-enforcement requirements; and
Vital interests or public interest: where applicable in limited circumstances recognized by law.
You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of processing performed before consent was withdrawn. When we rely on legitimate interests, you may have the right to object.
5. How We Share Personal Information
We may disclose personal information to the following recipients for the purposes described below.
5.1 Service providers
We use providers that support hosting, cloud storage, artificial-intelligence processing, document generation, email delivery, customer support, analytics, security, fraud prevention, and payment processing. 5.2 Recruitment Partners
If you voluntarily join the Talent Network, we may share limited professional profile information with verified Recruitment Partners to identify relevant employment opportunities. Direct identifiers and full profile information will be disclosed only in accordance with the controls, consent, or other authorization described at the point of disclosure.
Some Recruitment Partners may act as independent data controllers after receiving information. This means they may have their own privacy responsibilities and privacy policies. Where required, we will identify the relevant partner or make partner information available before identifiable information is disclosed.
5.3 Legal, safety, and compliance disclosures
We may disclose information when we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or a lawful government request; enforce our agreements; investigate fraud or security incidents; or protect the rights, safety, and property of My CV Creator, our users, or others.
5.4 Business transactions
Information may be reviewed or transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal protections. We will provide notice where required.
5.5 With your direction
We may disclose information to other parties when you instruct us to do so or provide valid consent.
6. Sale and Sharing of Personal Information
We do not sell lists of users or provide unrestricted access to our user database. My CV Creator may receive compensation for recruitment, matching, API access, introductions, or successful placements as described in Section 3.
Certain privacy laws define "sale" or "sharing" broadly and may treat some transfers for monetary or other valuable consideration, or certain advertising activities, as a sale or sharing even when data is not sold in the ordinary sense. Where those laws apply, we will provide required notices and privacy choices, including a means to opt out through our Privacy Choices page or by contacting support@mycvcreator.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of individuals under 16 years of age.
7. Artificial Intelligence
Our Services may use artificial-intelligence models supplied by us or by contracted service providers to analyze user-provided text and generate resumes, cover letters, summaries, recommendations, interview feedback, and other content.
AI-generated content may be inaccurate or incomplete and should be reviewed before use. We do not authorize our service providers to use your personal content to train general-purpose models for their independent purposes unless we clearly disclose that practice and obtain any consent required by law.
Subject to our Terms of Service and applicable law, you may use, edit, download, or delete the outputs stored in your account. You are responsible for ensuring that the information you submit and use is lawful and accurate.
8. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising
We use essential cookies to provide authentication, security, session management, preferences, and core site functionality. With consent where required, we may also use analytics, personalization, and advertising technologies.

Talent Network participation and consent records may be retained while your profile is active and for a reasonable period afterward to document your choices, prevent unauthorized re-enrollment, comply with law, and resolve disputes. When information is no longer required, we will delete, anonymize, or securely isolate it.
10. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. These may include encryption in transit, access controls, logging, monitoring, backups, authentication controls, secure development practices, and contractual safeguards for service providers and Recruitment Partners.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If you believe your account or information has been compromised, contact support@mycvcreator.com promptly.
11. International Data Transfers
My CV Creator operates globally. Personal information may be processed in Nigeria, Canada, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, the United States, or other countries where we or our service providers and Recruitment Partners operate.
Where required, we use legally recognized safeguards for international transfers, which may include adequacy decisions, contractual clauses approved by relevant authorities, transfer assessments, consent in appropriate circumstances, or other lawful mechanisms. You may contact us for more information about safeguards applicable to your information.
12. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location and subject to legal limitations, you may have the right to:
know whether and how we process your personal information;
request access to or a copy of your personal information;
correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
request deletion of personal information;
restrict or object to certain processing;
withdraw consent;
receive certain information in a portable format;

Our Services may contain links to third-party websites, job postings, employers, or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for their practices. Review the privacy information of a third party before providing information directly to it.

A material change to this Policy will not, by itself, enroll you in the Talent Network or authorize a new disclosure that requires consent.
