UAC Foods Limited, a joint venture between UAC of Nigeria Plc and Tiger Brands Limited of South Africa, is recruiting qualified professionals for three positions across its snacks, logistics, distribution, and sales operations. UAC Foods produces and distributes leading brands across the snacks, dairy, and beverage categories, including Gala Sausage Roll, Funtime Cup Cake, Funtime Coconut Chips, and Snaps Puffed Maize.

Responsibilities

Haulage Supervisor

• Supervise daily operations of transporters, forklift service providers, and company-owned distribution vehicles.
• Ensure timely availability of haulage vehicles for customer deliveries.
• Coordinate transportation schedules for efficient product distribution.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections before loading.
• Monitor vehicle movement and performance.
• Respond to transportation challenges and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor preventive maintenance schedules and fleet availability.
• Ensure vehicles and transporters maintain valid licences, insurance, permits, and statutory documentation.
• Monitor transporter and forklift service provider performance against SLAs.
• Maintain relationships with transporters and logistics service providers.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly haulage reports.
• Monitor diesel usage, vehicle tracking, transporter performance, and drivers' claims.
• Review transporter and service provider invoices.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies and transportation regulations.

Territory Sales Executive

• Deliver daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
• Execute sales plans to achieve territory growth and profitability.
• Ensure product availability across assigned retail and wholesale outlets.
• Identify and develop new retail outlets, wholesalers, and distribution opportunities.
• Expand the active customer base and market coverage.
• Build and maintain relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and trade partners.
• Resolve customer issues and drive customer loyalty.
• Execute route plans and structured sales call cycles.
• Implement merchandising standards and improve product visibility.
• Support promotional activities and trade activations.
• Prepare sales reports and provide market intelligence.
• Monitor competitor activities, pricing, promotions, and market developments.

Requirements

Haulage Supervisor

• B.Sc. or HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in transportation scheduling, warehousing, logistics, or distribution operations.
• FMCG experience is preferred.
• Good knowledge of inventory control and transportation scheduling.
• Strong understanding of haulage and fleet operations.
• Strong team management and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems is an advantage.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Territory Sales Executive

• B.Sc. or HND in any relevant discipline.
• Minimum of 3-5 years' field sales experience, preferably in FMCG or a similar sector.
• Experience in retail sales, open-market sales, and distributor management.
• Hands-on experience in route planning, merchandising, and sales activation.
• Strong route-to-market execution skills.
• Sales negotiation and closing skills.
• Strong territory development and market expansion abilities.
• Knowledge of General Trade, Modern Trade, and Emerging Markets.
• Strong customer relationship management skills.
• Good analytical and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
