Tin Can Island Container Terminal (TICT) is a major maritime facility operating at the Tin Can Island Port in Apapa, Lagos, and is backed by international shareholders including Africa Global Logistics and China Merchants Port. The Graduate Trainee Program provides opportunities for graduates to develop technical and operational skills within the maritime and logistics sector.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile cranes to lift, move and position containers, cargo and heavy equipment as assigned.
• Follow safety procedures, lifting standards and load charts.
• Maintain safe working areas and coordinate with riggers and signalers.
• Record daily operational activities and report abnormalities, breakdowns or near misses.
• Execute assigned tasks within agreed timelines.
• Contribute to operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
• Participate in learning and development activities under the trainee programme.

Requirements

• BSc or HND from a reputable university.
• For the Graduate Trainee and Management Trainee tracks, HND or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of Second Class Upper or Upper Credit, as applicable.
• Not more than 28 years old.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and learning abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant digital tools.
• Knowledge of AI tools and data analysis is an added advantage.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Open to male and female candidates.
• For the Equipment Operator Trainee role, candidates must demonstrate physical agility, willingness to learn, good communication and teamwork skills, and be medically fit.
