Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited, operator of the NNPC/Renaissance/TotalEnergies and Agip Energy and Natural Resources Joint Venture, is inviting applications for its 2027 Sabbatical and Postgraduate Research Internship Programme. The programme runs for 12 months (non-renewable) and offers two distinct tracks: a Postgraduate Research Internship for Nigerian MSc, M.Phil. and PhD students to gain industry-related work experience and conduct topical research within Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited, and a Sabbatical Attachment for University Lecturers from Senior Lecturer rank and above to undertake research and other activities contributing to the company’s business objectives. Postgraduate Research Internship - Available Teams and Disciplines

• Environment: Impact Assessment and Environmental Compliance Monitoring
• Occupational Health: Health Promotion, Epidemiology and Statistics
• Pipeline Availability: PhD candidate in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering or Oil and Gas Engineering with at least 3 years of pipeline engineering experience in design, construction or integrity assessment
• Exploration: PhD Intern in Geology, Geophysics or AI in exploration workflow

Sabbatical Attachment for University Lecturers - Available Teams and Disciplines

• Environment: Impact Assessment and Biodiversity, Environmental Toxicology, Air Quality Assessment, Hydrobiology, Water Chemistry, Hydrogeology and Ecology
• Corporate Relations: Social Performance, Social Impact Assessment and Management
• Corporate Relations: Host Community Development Trust (HCDT) and Stakeholder Relations
• Community Health: Consultant Community Health, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Pediatrics
• Nigerian Content Development: Professor in any Engineering Discipline with interest in either Process or Project Engineering
• NNPC/Renaissance-JV Centre of Excellence in Geosciences and Petroleum Engineering, University of Benin: Geology, Geophysics and Petroleum Engineering
• NNPC/Renaissance-JV Centre of Excellence in Marine and Offshore Engineering, Rivers State University, Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt: Marine/Offshore Engineering and Naval Architecture
• Exploration: Geology, Geophysics and AI in exploration workflow

Requirements for the NNPC/Renaissance JV Internship Programme 2027

Postgraduate Research Internship:

• Nigerian postgraduate student at MSc, M.Phil. or PhD level
• Background in a relevant discipline matching one of the listed teams
• Pipeline Availability track requires minimum 3 years pipeline engineering experience

Sabbatical Attachment:

• University Lecturer from Senior Lecturer rank and above
• Relevant academic and research background matching one of the listed disciplines

• For sabbatical: titled one-page summary of how the candidate intends to add value to the Renaissance business during the 12 months
