Job Description

Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited, operator of the NNPC/Renaissance/TotalEnergies/AENR Joint Venture, has opened applications for its 2026/2027 Niger Delta Postgraduate Overseas Scholarship, now in its 17th year with 116 scholars funded to date. The scholarship covers a fully funded one-year master's degree at one of three top UK universities for indigenes of Bayelsa, Delta, Imo, and Rivers States. Eligible courses span robotics, data science, petroleum geoscience, oil and gas engineering, renewable energy, and more. This is a non-committal scholarship with no employment obligation attached. University of Aberdeen:

Robert Gordon University:

Requirements

  • Indigene of Bayelsa, Delta, Imo, or Rivers State
  • Aged between 21 and 28 years by 30th September, 2026
  • Hold, or expect to hold before programme commencement, a degree equivalent to a UK Upper Second-Class Honours degree
  • Must have completed NYSC by September 2026
  • Minimum IELTS score of 6.5 or meet the chosen university's English language requirements
  • Must have received a formal admission offer for one of the approved courses before applying for the scholarship
  • Nigerian international passport valid until at least December 2027
  • Must not have previously studied in the UK or another developed country

Not Eligible:

  • Employees or relatives of employees of Renaissance JV
  • Former Renaissance JV employees who left less than five years ago
  • Employees or relatives of employees of the participating universities
  • Applicants without a formal offer for an eligible postgraduate programme
