Nigerian Air Force BMTC 47/2026 – Recruitment Applications Now Open

The Nigerian Air Force has announced its 2026 Basic Military Training Course (BMTC 47/2026) recruitment exercise for suitably qualified Nigerians seeking enlistment as Airmen and Airwomen under two categories: Tradesmen/Women and Non-Tradesmen/Women. Applications open 3rd September 2026 and close 14th October 2026. The recruitment is 100% FREE - do not pay anyone to process your application. Shortlisted candidates will proceed to a Zonal General Aptitude Test followed by a Selection Interview, with dates communicated via the official portal. Applicants are strongly advised to use only the official NAF recruitment portal for all updates.

Available Categories

Tradesmen/Women:

• For candidates with ND/NCE qualifications, trade test certificates, professional sporting credentials, or driving licences
• Age: 18 to 25 years by 1st March 2027

Non-Tradesmen/Women:

• For candidates with SSCE/O'Level qualifications
• Age: 18 to 22 years by 1st March 2027

Requirements for Nigerian Air Force Recruitment

General Requirements (All Categories):

• Must be a Nigerian citizen by birth
• Medically, physically, and psychologically fit
• Meet Nigerian Air Force medical and employment standards
• Free from previous criminal convictions
• Minimum height: 1.66m (male), 1.63m (female)

Tradesmen/Women:

• Minimum ND/NCE with at least Lower Credit from an accredited institution
• Minimum 5 O'Level credits including Mathematics and English Language in not more than 2 sittings (WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB, NBAIS, or equivalent)
• Trade Test Certificate where applicable (e.g. driving, technical trades)
• Valid driving licence for driver applicants
• Sporting certificates and medals for sportsmen/women applicants

Non-Tradesmen/Women:

• Minimum 5 O'Level credits including Mathematics and English Language in not more than 2 sittings
• Primary School Certificate and Secondary School Testimonials required

Required Documents

• Acknowledgement Form (generated upon successful application)
• Parent/Guardian Consent Form
• Local Government Area Attestation Form (signed by an authorised NAF-specified person with required ID and passport photograph)
