New Incentives - All Babies Are Equal (NI-ABAE) is recruiting Field Officers to support its childhood immunisation programme across 11 northern Nigerian states. The role involves enrolling eligible caregivers at public health facilities, supporting vaccination follow-up, collecting field data and working with healthcare and community stakeholders to improve immunisation participation.

Responsibilities

• Enrol eligible beneficiaries at designated public health clinics.
• Verify vaccination records and track scheduled immunisation visits.
• Educate caregivers on childhood immunisation and encourage clinic attendance.
• Maintain accurate enrolment, vaccination and programme records.
• Support community outreach and immunisation awareness activities.
• Track families who miss scheduled appointments and follow up appropriately.
• Monitor clinic supplies and report shortages or operational issues.
• Maintain working relationships with healthcare workers, community leaders and other local stakeholders.
• Conduct assigned surveys and submit field reports.
• Identify and report fraud, security concerns and other incidents.
• Follow organisational security policies and take responsibility for personal and team safety.
• Complete mandatory training, performance reviews and other assignments as required.

Requirements

• SSCE, Diploma, CHEW or a related qualification.
• 1-2 years of relevant work experience; NGO experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Fluent in Hausa and other relevant local dialects, both spoken and written.
• Must be an indigene of the relevant LGA and currently reside in the operational ward.
• Familiarity with Nigerian health facility documentation, infant health and routine immunisation.
• Experience collecting, analysing and reporting health data.
• Comfortable travelling by public transport to remote public health clinics.
• Proficient with smartphones, internet browsers, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Strong attention to detail, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to handle project funds responsibly and maintain accurate records.
• Willingness to work in a changing field environment and support communities.
