Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc, one of Nigeria's leading food and agro-allied companies behind household brands like Golden Penny Flour, Golden Penny Semovita, Golden Pasta, and Golden Noodles, is recruiting Assistant Managers for Trade Development across three locations. The role sits within the sales function and is focused on driving market penetration, managing key distributor networks, and executing trade development strategies across assigned territories. With a minimum of three years FMCG sales experience required, this is a mid-level field leadership role for someone who already understands how FMCG distribution works on the ground.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales volume and revenue targets within assigned territory
• Drive market penetration and territory growth
• Implement effective redistribution strategies
• Manage Key Distributors for business growth and develop sub-distributor networks
• Build strong relationships with distributors, sub-dealers, and bakers
• Develop Joint Business Plans and conduct regular business reviews
• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights
• Enforce SOPs for route planning and ensure effective use of sales automation tools
• Improve trade execution and product availability across channels

Requirements

• HND or BSc in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related field
• Minimum 3 years experience in FMCG sales
• Experience in redistribution sales is highly preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Leadership and stakeholder management abilities
• Negotiation and relationship-building skills
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset
• Ability to use data to drive sales performance
