Kenya Public Service Commission Announces 2026/2027 Internship Programme – Apply Now

The Public Service Commission of Kenya has opened recruitment for Cohort 9 of its Public Service Internship Programme (PSIP) for the 2026/2027 Financial Year. The year-long programme places graduates in Ministries, Departments, State Agencies, Corporations, and Public Universities across Kenya, giving them hands-on work experience, mentorship, and a government-issued certificate upon completion. It's designed specifically for recent graduates who have not previously benefited from a similar government scheme. Interns receive a government-determined stipend throughout the 12-month placement. If you graduated from a Kenyan university between 2020 and now and are looking for a structured entry point into the public sector, this is worth applying for before the 17th August deadline.

Responsibilities

• Complete duties mutually agreed upon and assigned by supervisors at the placement institution
• Document relevant skills acquired in areas of deployment
• Actively participate in mentorship activities and additional responsibilities designed for the programme

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university
• Must have graduated not earlier than the year 2020
• Proficient in computer skills
• Must not have previously benefited from a similar government internship programme
