Sustainability News Africa (SNA) is accepting applications for its August 2026 Remote Internship Programme (Cohort 3). This three-month internship is designed for individuals who want to gain practical experience in sustainability communications, research, marketing, and digital operations while working with a pan-African team.

Responsibilities

Research Intern

• Conduct research on sustainability-related topics.
• Analyse and manage research data.
• Translate research findings into engaging public communication materials.
• Collaborate with team members on research projects.

Data Entry Intern

• Perform accurate data entry and validation.
• Handle confidential information responsibly.
• Organise and maintain data records.
• Support data management activities.

Marketing Intern

• Support digital marketing campaigns.
• Develop creative content.
• Assist with marketing analysis and reporting.
• Promote sustainability initiatives across digital platforms.

Social Media Post Scheduling Intern

• Schedule and manage social media content.
• Maintain brand consistency across platforms.
• Coordinate content calendars.
• Collaborate with the communications team.

Requirements

General Requirements

• Proficiency in Google Workspace (all roles).
• Canva proficiency (required for Social Media Post Scheduling role).

Research

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Research and data management experience.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Experience with Excel or Google Workspace is an advantage.
• Previous research or sustainability experience is an advantage.

Data Entry

• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Experience with Excel or Google Workspace is an advantage.

Marketing

• Digital marketing and content creation skills.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Passion for sustainability.
• Knowledge of Canva and Google Analytics is an advantage.
• Graphic design or social media copywriting experience is an advantage.

Social Media Post Scheduling

• Content scheduling and management skills.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Familiarity with Canva and Buffer is an advantage.
• Interest in sustainability and environmental issues.
