Job Description

GAIN is an international organisation working with governments, businesses, and communities to improve nutrition and health outcomes across the world. Their Nigeria country office is looking for an Operations and Administrative Officer to keep the day-to-day running of the Abuja office tight and efficient, from logistics and procurement coordination to records management and programme support. It's a 1-year fixed-term contract role suited to someone organised, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced international development environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support overall administrative and operational functions of the Nigeria office
  • Ensure smooth coordination of office activities and logistics
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across teams
  • Maintain organised records and documentation systems
  • Assist with procurement processes and vendor coordination
  • Support travel arrangements, meetings, and event coordination
  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures
  • Provide general administrative support to programme teams as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or HND in Business Administration, Management, or related field
  • Relevant experience in operations, administration, or office management
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and office systems
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of professionalism and attention to detail
