Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) is a public university in Nasarawa State, established in 2011 under the Federal Government's university expansion programme. The university is recruiting for academic, administrative, technical and healthcare positions across various departments and units.

Requirements

Assistant Lecturer

• Good Second-Class Honours degree in the relevant field from a recognised institution.
• Master's degree in the relevant field.
• Available across numerous academic departments including Accounting, Agronomy, Architecture, Biochemistry, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Nursing, Public Administration, Statistics, Veterinary-related fields and others.

Lecturer II

• PhD in the relevant field from a recognised institution, or Master's degree with two journal publications.
• At least three years of post-qualification teaching and research experience at university level.
• Available across numerous academic departments.

Lecturer I

• PhD in the relevant field plus three years of teaching experience and two journal publications, or PhD with professional registration plus two published journal articles.
• Alternatively, Master's degree plus six years of teaching experience and five journal articles, three of which must have been published.
• Available across numerous academic departments.

Senior Lecturer

• PhD in the relevant field.
• Six years of post-qualification teaching and research experience.
• Minimum of 10 publications in reputable journals.
• Evidence of continuous research and ability to supervise postgraduate students.
• Available across numerous academic departments.

Professor

• Must already be a Professor.
• Minimum of 20 publications, including 16 in print.
• At least four publications must be in at least three different regularly published foreign-indexed journals.
• Evidence of supervising three Master's and one PhD student to completion.

Associate Professor

• Must already be an Associate Professor.
• PhD in the relevant field.
• Evidence of outstanding and continuing achievement and teaching experience at university level.
• 15 publications in reputable international and national journals.
• Record of supervising PhD and Master's students.
• Available in Criminology and Security Studies, Library and Information Science, Nutrition and Dietetics, Radiography, Social Work and selected Veterinary disciplines.

Programmer II

• Degree with hands-on skills in relevant programming and technology areas including MCAD, MCSD, SCJP, SCWCD, J2EE, .NET, PHP, C++, and related technologies.
• NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.

Technologist II

• HND/B.Sc. professional degree.
• NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
• Qualification must be registrable with the relevant professional institute.

Accountant II

• Good B.Sc. degree in Accountancy.
• One year NYSC or exemption certificate.

Medical Officer

• MBBS.
• One year NYSC or exemption certificate.

Pharmacy Intern

• B.Sc. Pharm.
• Full registration with the Pharmacist Council of Nigeria.
• One year NYSC or exemption certificate.

Medical Laboratory Scientist

• First degree in Medical Laboratory Science.
• Registration with the Institute of Medical Laboratory Technology of Nigeria.
• One year NYSC or exemption certificate.

Medical Laboratory Technician

• WASC or SSCE.
• Three years of training.
• Registration with the Institute of Medical Laboratory Technology for the Technician Cadre.
