Job Description

The Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) of Pan-Atlantic University is recruiting qualified and experienced professionals across project management, finance, market access, quality control, gender, safeguarding and impact communications. EDC supports entrepreneurs, businesses and organisations through capacity building, knowledge development and practical enterprise support.

Responsibilities:

Project Director

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across the NiWEMA programme.
  • Manage funder relationships, programme reporting and stakeholder engagement.
  • Lead the project team and oversee annual workplans, budgets and monitoring frameworks.
  • Manage implementing partners and monitor delivery quality and contractual obligations.
  • Oversee programme risk management, compliance, safeguarding and gender inclusion.
  • Lead programme learning, adaptation and high-level external representation.

Finance Director

  • Lead financial management, budgeting, forecasting and reporting across the programme.
  • Manage financial disbursements to implementing partners and maintain audit trails.
  • Track expenditure by delivery model, participation type and location.
  • Ensure compliance with funder requirements, procurement procedures and reporting schedules.
  • Oversee cash flow, financial controls, audits and applicable Nigerian tax obligations.
  • Provide financial guidance to programme staff and implementing partners.

Access to Market Lead

  • Develop market access strategies for individual businesses and sector-based clusters.
  • Build relationships with buyers, e-commerce platforms, retailers, processors and other market actors.
  • Develop market access content for online and physical training.
  • Organise market linkage events, trade fairs and buyer-seller sessions.
  • Monitor market access outcomes and address barriers facing women entrepreneurs.
  • Supervise the Access to Market Support Officer.

Access to Market Support Officer

  • Support market access activities, trade events and buyer-seller sessions.
  • Coordinate logistics for online and physical market access activities.
  • Maintain databases of buyers, partners and commercial opportunities.
  • Support sector-based cluster coordination and participant engagement.
  • Assist with market access training, data collection and outcome tracking.
  • Prepare activity reports and database updates.

Quality Control & Standardisation Lead

  • Develop quality assurance frameworks for online and physical programme delivery.
  • Monitor LMS engagement, completion rates, facilitator activity and participant experience.
  • Conduct quality audits and field observations across delivery locations.
  • Develop training standards, observation tools and quality documentation.
  • Train and support facilitators and trainers.
  • Monitor quality indicators and recommend corrective actions.

Gender Lead

ADVERTISEMENT
  • Develop and implement the programme's gender strategy.
  • Integrate gender considerations across curriculum, market access, safeguarding and impact reporting.
  • Conduct gender analysis across delivery models and sector clusters.
  • Provide gender-responsive guidance and training to project staff and partners.
  • Monitor gender-disaggregated programme data and contribute to reports.
  • Work with the Safeguarding Lead to strengthen gender and safeguarding approaches.

Impact Story Specialist

  • Develop an impact story collection framework across programme delivery streams.
  • Conduct interviews and fieldwork with participants, facilitators, trainers and partners.
  • Develop individual and cluster-level impact stories and case studies.
  • Produce multimedia content including video profiles, audio testimonials and photo essays.
  • Maintain a consent-verified archive of impact stories and supporting evidence.
  • Ensure ethical storytelling and informed consent in participant documentation.

Safeguarding Lead

  • Develop and implement safeguarding policies and procedures for online and physical delivery.
  • Establish confidential safeguarding reporting and response mechanisms.
  • Conduct safeguarding due diligence on implementing partners.
  • Monitor partner compliance through field audits and reviews.
  • Deliver safeguarding training and induction to staff, trainers and partners.
  • Conduct safeguarding risk assessments for training, field and community activities.
  • Manage safeguarding concerns and incidents according to established protocols.
  • Maintain confidential case records and prepare safeguarding reports.

Requirements:

Project Director

  • Master's degree in Development Studies, Business Administration, Project Management, Social Sciences or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years' progressive programme or project leadership experience.
  • At least 5 years' experience at senior management level.
  • Experience managing large-scale donor-funded programmes with digital and field delivery.
  • Experience managing implementing partner networks in multi-state or national programmes.
  • Strong funder relationship management and results-based reporting experience.
  • PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent certification is an advantage.

Finance Director

ADVERTISEMENT
  • Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration or Management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • ACA, ACCA or ICAN qualification required.
  • Minimum 15 years' progressive financial management experience.
  • At least 3 years' experience managing finances for large-scale donor-funded programmes.
  • Experience managing sub-grants or implementing partner financial relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian financial regulations, tax obligations and donor compliance.

Access to Market Lead

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Development Studies or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in market development, enterprise support, value chain development or private sector development.
  • Experience with sector-based clusters or value chains in fashion, food processing/agri-food or agriculture.
  • Experience designing market access training for online and in-person delivery.
  • Strong network of market actors, buyers and commercial partners.
  • Women's economic empowerment experience is strongly preferred.

Access to Market Support Officer

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Development Studies or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in programme support, business development or market development.
  • Familiarity with fashion, food or agriculture is an advantage.
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills.
  • Experience with data collection, database management and basic reporting.
  • Comfortable using online coordination tools and supporting field activities.

Quality Control & Standardisation Lead

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Sciences, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Master's degree is an advantage.
  • 6 to 8 years' experience in quality assurance, programme monitoring, curriculum delivery or learning and development.
  • Experience designing quality frameworks for digital and physical programme delivery.
  • Experience with large-scale training programmes and implementing partner networks.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven performance management skills.
  • Field experience conducting training quality assessments is required.

Gender Lead

ADVERTISEMENT
  • Bachelor's degree in Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Development Studies or a related field.
  • Master's degree is an advantage.
  • Minimum 6 years' experience in gender programming or women's economic empowerment.
  • Experience across digital and field-based programme delivery.
  • Knowledge of gender dynamics affecting young women entrepreneurs in Nigeria.
  • Experience integrating gender into large-scale programmes with multiple delivery channels and partners.

Impact Story Specialist

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Development Studies, Social Sciences or a related field.
  • Minimum 6 years' experience in impact documentation, communications, journalism or storytelling within development, NGO or social enterprise settings.
  • Experience producing impact case studies across digital and field-based programmes.
  • Multimedia content production skills are required.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo or another Nigerian language is an advantage.
  • Strong commitment to ethical storytelling and informed consent.

Safeguarding Lead

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Development Studies, Law or a related field.
  • 6 to 8 years' experience in safeguarding, child protection, GBV prevention or related fields.
  • Experience developing safeguarding frameworks for programmes delivered through implementing partner networks.
  • Knowledge of Nigerian safeguarding laws, GBV referral pathways and child protection frameworks.
  • Safeguarding or child protection certification from a recognised institution is required.
  • Experience conducting field-based safeguarding assessments and audits.
  • Strong discretion, confidentiality and professional judgement.
