Responsibilities

Process Engineer

• Monitor production line operations from the Central Control Room to ensure compliance with production standards.
• Guide operators and patrollers in coordination with shift supervisors.
• Oversee plant processes to support equipment stability, workplace safety and environmental compliance.
• Record process data and prepare operational reports.
• Monitor the crusher, raw mills, kiln and cement mills, providing guidance to production teams.
• Identify equipment faults and potential failures, and support troubleshooting.
• Recommend improvements to plant automation and operating processes.
• Supervise casual workers responsible for keeping conveyor belts clean and free from blockages.
• Help achieve cement and clinker production targets during assigned shifts.
• Perform other duties assigned by the section head or HOD.

Requirements

Process Engineer

• BSc in Chemical and Processing Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Good understanding of cement production processes, product quality parameters and quality control.
• Knowledge of crushing operations, equipment and their functions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Good interpersonal, relationship management and supervisory abilities.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate in English and Swahili.
