Job Description

The Dangote Group, one of Africa's most diversified business conglomerates, is currently recruiting across seven roles spanning operations, finance, sustainability, procurement, logistics, and administration. Positions are available across Lagos (Apapa), Ogun (Ibese), and Adamawa (Numan), covering both entry-level and senior leadership openings. Whether you're a plant operator, a finance leader, or somewhere in between, one of these roles is likely a fit.

Available Positions

1. Operator, Packing Plant

Location: Ibese Plant, Ogun State

Responsibilities:

  • Operate packers, autoloaders, and packing plant machinery efficiently
  • Ensure packing targets are met per shift (e.g., 750 MT per 12-hour shift)
  • Regularly check cement bag weights to maintain the 50kg standard
  • Report mechanical or process faults to the Shift Supervisor
  • Maintain clean, safe, and orderly working environment
  • Perform proper shift handover and takeover
  • Adhere to company safety policies and ISO Management Systems
  • Requirements:
  • WASC/GCE/SSCE or Trade Test I, II, or III in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance
  • 2–9 years experience in cement packing, manufacturing, or industrial operations
  • Physically fit and capable of manual and technical tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
  • Reliable, disciplined, and target-driven

2. Regional Finance Manager

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage regional budgets, forecasts, and financial models
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in compliance with IFRS
  • Monitor production and operating costs across cement plants
  • Drive cost optimization and analyze cost drivers (energy, logistics, raw materials)
  • Manage relationships with internal and external auditors
  • Monitor working capital, liquidity, and treasury support
  • Partner with plant managers and commercial teams on pricing and investment decisions
  • Lead and develop regional finance teams
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • Professional certification: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA (mandatory)
  • 10+ years finance experience, preferably in manufacturing or heavy industry
  • Multi-plant or regional operations experience
  • Strong financial modelling, cost accounting, and leadership skills

3. Sustainability Manager

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of Sustainability in developing ESG standards and KPIs
  • Set short, medium, and long-term sustainability targets across the organisation
  • Coordinate sustainability reporting using IFRS S1/S2, GRI, UNGC, CDP frameworks
  • Manage stakeholder engagements and materiality assessments
  • Drive sustainability campaigns and ESG initiatives with measurable impact
  • Coordinate Sustainability Leads across plants and build their capacity
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a Sustainability or Environment-related field
  • Advanced degree in sustainability preferred
  • Minimum 10 years experience in corporate sustainability in a large organisation
  • At least 3 years experience in sustainability reporting using global standards
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and data analysis tools
  • Strong communication, advocacy, and project management skills

4. Procurement Officer, DSR Numan

Location: Numan, Adamawa State

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, prequalify, and engage approved suppliers for agro-services, spare parts, and field operations
  • Request and evaluate vendor quotations and prepare comparative bid analyses
  • Prepare and process Purchase Orders using SAP MM
  • Liaise with logistics, warehouse, agriculture, and finance teams
  • Support local vendor development within the Numan region
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and generate spend reports
  • Support audit activities with required procurement documentation
  • Requirements:
  • B.Sc. or HND in Engineering, Business Administration, Purchasing & Supply, Economics, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years procurement experience
  • SAP MM proficiency
  • Experience supporting field, agricultural, or plant operations is an advantage

5. Import and Clearing Officer

Location: Apapa, Lagos

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all importation activities from shipment initiation to final delivery
  • Prepare and manage import documentation including Form M, PAAR, Bill of Lading, and invoices
  • Liaise with customs authorities, shipping companies, freight forwarders, and regulatory bodies (NAFDAC, SON)
  • Ensure compliance with Nigerian customs regulations
  • Track shipments and resolve clearing issues, delays, or discrepancies
  • Manage duty payments and drive cost efficiency in clearing operations
  • Monitor and evaluate performance of clearing agents and service providers
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 5–7 years experience in importation, clearing, or logistics operations
  • Professional certifications (CISCP, CILT) are an added advantage
  • SAP proficiency is an added advantage
  • Strong knowledge of import documentation and customs clearing procedures

6. Procurement Officer, Apapa

Location: Apapa, Lagos

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, prequalify, and engage approved suppliers
  • Request, evaluate, and compare vendor quotations
  • Prepare and process Purchase Orders using SAP MM
  • Coordinate approval workflows and monitor delivery timelines
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and generate reports
  • Support contract administration and supplier relationship management
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and internal controls
  • Requirements:
  • B.Sc. or HND in Engineering, Business Administration, Purchasing & Supply, Economics, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years procurement experience
  • SAP MM proficiency
  • Vendor management and basic negotiation skills

7. Office Assistant, HR/Admin

Location: Apapa, Lagos

Responsibilities:

  • Provide general administrative and clerical support to the HR/Admin team
  • Assist in filing, documentation, and maintaining employee records
  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence (emails, calls, documents)
  • Support recruitment activities including interview scheduling and candidate coordination
  • Assist with onboarding of new employees
  • Maintain office supplies and support inventory management
  • Support logistics for meetings, trainings, and HR events
  • Requirements:
  • Minimum OND in any relevant field
  • 0–2 years relevant experience
  • Smart, proactive, agile, and detail-oriented
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proximity to Apapa is a strong advantage
