Benin Electricity Distribution Plc (BEDC), one of Nigeria's licensed retail electricity distribution companies serving Delta, Edo, Ekiti and Ondo States across 25 business districts and approximately 350 offices, is recruiting for three audit roles within its internal control and IT functions. The openings cover IT Audit, Internal Audit, and Lead Internal Audit positions, all based across BEDC's four-state operational territory. BEDC Recruitment Requirements:

• HND, B.Sc or B.Eng in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related field (varies by role)
• Professional certifications are an advantage across all roles (ICAN, ACCA, CIA, CISA, CISSP, CISM, CRISC or equivalent)
• Experience requirements vary by role (see individual role details below)

Available Positions:

IT Auditor

• Plan and execute IT audits in line with approved audit plans and professional standards
• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of IT general controls, application controls and cybersecurity controls
• Evaluate compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements and industry best practices
• Review system development, change management, data management, access controls and disaster recovery processes
• Identify technology-related risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and support investigations into IT incidents
• Prepare audit reports detailing findings, risks and recommendations for management action
• Monitor and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations
• Requirements: HND/B.Sc/B.Eng in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related field | 2-3 years experience in IT Audit, Information Security or Risk Management | CISA, CISSP, CISM or CRISC certification is an added advantage | Knowledge of ERP systems, databases, network security, cloud technologies and data analytics tools

Lead Internal Auditor

• Develop and implement risk-based internal audit plans
• Lead and coordinate audit assignments across operational, financial and compliance functions
• Evaluate internal controls, risk management and governance processes
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports and present findings to management
• Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and corrective actions
• Provide advisory support on risk mitigation and control improvement initiatives
• Supervise and mentor Internal Audit Officers
• Coordinate and carry out investigations and issue reports to management
• Requirements: HND/B.Sc/B.Eng in Accounting, Finance, Engineering or related field | 5-7 years experience in a similar role with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership position | ICAN, ACCA or CIA certification is an added advantage

Internal Audit Officer

• Assist in executing audit engagements and ensuring efficiency, effectiveness and timeliness of audit reports
• Participate in internal audit engagements and investigations
• Review financial, operational and compliance processes to ensure effectiveness of controls
• Document audit findings and prepare audit reports
• Review compliance with company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
• Follow up on audit recommendations and implementation status
• Requirements: HND/B.Sc/B.Eng in Accounting, Finance, Engineering or related field | 2-3 years experience in auditing, accounting or compliance | ICAN, ACCA or CIA certification is an added advantage
