Even though they are countries that welcome foreigners, you  getting a job abroad is not as easy as it looks, it depends on your profession, qualifications, language barrier and you being willing to work outside major cities. 

1. Germany 

This is a good destination for foreigners because of the shortage in the work force that cuts across a lot of fields like Healthcare, IT, engineers, scientist and technical workers. Another reason is that Germany has specifically designed pathways to attract qualified job seekers from outside the European union, so you don’t need to have a lot of experience to apply. To increase your chances of being employed you can learn their language

Canada has a significant history of relying on foreigners to meet the needs of their labor market. Canada has a lot of immigration and work permit pathways. This one is good for individuals working in health care, transportation, construction, education and many other sectors. Even though there is a lot of competition when applying for jobs to Canada and they would prefer individuals who already have work permits there are many  jobs available that cut across a wide  range of professions.

Due to Australia’s large economy it usually experiences shortage in some occupations like Health care, construction, education, engineering, technology and skilled trade. A reason why Australia is good is because it has a well structured and skilled migration system. Some occupations provide a lot of long-term opportunities depending on the applicant.

This is good for people who want to work in an English speaking European country. New Zealand has a very small population so it experiences shortages is professions that are important to its economy like Healthcare, education, construction, agriculture and hospitality. Opportunities are usually good in this country if your occupation is on a shortage pathway. 

7. United Arab Emirates 

The labor force on this country is majorly dependent on foreign workers. However job opportunities in this country will be more attractive to people who need international work experience and not permanent residence. 

8. United Kingdom 

This country is willing to recruit workers in many sectors especially those experiencing shortage like Healthcare, engineering, education and IT. There are a lot of suitable vacancies but applicants may not be able to accept if the employer cannot sponsor the visa and they do not meet the immigration requirements.

9. Singapore

This country has a well developed economy and attracts workers in finance, technology, engineering and Healthcare. This is best for people with strong qualifications and experience and some companies allow people to be employed through international employers. Singapore is competitive and has tight requirements so this is not an easy destination for every job seeker. 

10. Portugal 

This attracts people interested in Europe. They have a lot of opportunities in tourism, hospitality, construction, technology and costumer service. Though salaries can be lower than other countries, compare the salary to the housing and living cost instead of taking any job that comes to you.
