Of the entire pool of resumes, the maximum number of invitations goes to resumes of applicants with six years of experience, as well as those with no experience, 38% and 32% respectively.


Professional education

Only 13% of employers consider a higher education degree important, with specific requirements depending on the field of activity. In Russia, a degree is considered an advantage when hiring, but it does not replace the candidate's professional skills.

Among the advantages of having a higher education, 78% of employers note the development of useful skills: the habit of learning, analyzing, and searching for the necessary information.

 Another 46% believe that studying at a university develops discipline and self-organization. Higher education is important to employers when hiring specialists and managers — 36% and 35%, respectively.


Knowledge of foreign languages

Candidates with knowledge of at least one foreign language account for 40% of invitations from employers, including English — 37%. Foreign language skills are not required for all vacancies.

In particular, it is required when hiring programmers, translators, guides and flight attendants, teachers, managers and executives in large companies.


Desired salary

Job seekers usually find it difficult to fill in this section: it seems risky to ask for too much, but they don't want to sell themselves short either. Therefore, this section is often left blank, which is generally acceptable.

But this line in your resume can play an important role. If the amount you specify matches the salary you are willing to accept, it's a match.
