A leading telecommunications provider is seeking a Trade Development Representative to support its retail and agent network in Nakuru Downtown.

Role Overview

The Trade Development Representative will visit retail outlets and agents regularly to strengthen retailer awareness, drive SIM sales and support mobile-money float availability. The role also involves maintaining product visibility and merchandising standards at SSOs and T-Kash agent outlets.

Key Responsibilities

• Outlet recruitment and mapping: Identify and recruit SSOs and agents, focusing on mobile-money outlets and retail stores with high customer traffic.

• Regular outlet visits: Visit SSOs and agents in line with agreed route and beat plans.

• Business tools and training: Provide the tools needed to carry out transactions and train SSOs and T-Kash agents on operational processes.

• Compliance training: Train and test agents on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements, and train SSOs on Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures for SIM registration.

• Float and stock management: Monitor and enforce the prescribed 1.5-times stock rule for agents, and ensure SSOs have sufficient SIM stock for new registrations and activations.

• Merchandising: Supply merchandising materials and develop and maintain presentation standards at SSO and agent outlets.

  
  

Qualifications and Experience

• A diploma or bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.

• At least one year of experience in a sales and distribution role within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or telecommunications sector.
