A leading telecommunications provider is seeking a Trade Development Representative to support retail and agent operations in Naivasha–Gilgil.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will conduct regular outlet visits to improve retailer awareness, drive SIM sales and support mobile-money float availability. The role also involves strengthening product visibility and merchandising at SSOs and T-Kash agent outlets.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit and map outlets: Identify and recruit agents, focusing on mobile-money outlets and retail stores with high customer traffic.

• Conduct regular visits: Visit SSOs and agents according to agreed route and beat plans.

• Provide tools and training: Supply the tools needed for transactions and train SSOs and T-Kash agents on operational processes.

• Support compliance training: Conduct Anti-Money Laundering (AML) training and testing for agents, and train SSOs on Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures for SIM registration.

• Monitor float and stock: Enforce the prescribed 1.5-times stock rule for agents and ensure SSOs maintain sufficient SIM stock for new registrations and activations.

• Maintain merchandising standards: Provide merchandising materials and maintain product visibility at SSO and agent outlets.

  
  

Qualifications and Experience

• A diploma or bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related discipline.

• At least one year of experience in sales and distribution within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or telecommunications sector.
