The ASR Africa International Professional Development Program is a highly competitive placement programme offering internship and volunteer opportunities designed to deepen young people's participation in the development sector. The programme provides structured learning, guided supervision, continuous evaluation and practical exposure to social development work. Participants will develop skills in project management, needs assessment, design thinking, stakeholder and partnership mapping, project design, sustainability planning, gender audit, Monitoring and Evaluation, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Responsibilities:

• Participate in structured internship and volunteer assignments within the development sector.
• Work across different departments through the programme's job-rotation structure.
• Apply project management and design-thinking concepts to practical assignments.
• Participate in stakeholder and partnership mapping activities.
• Develop project design and sustainability plans.
• Contribute to Monitoring and Evaluation activities and gender-audit exercises.
• Prepare and present assigned work as required during the programme.
• Develop practical knowledge of grant applications and social-impact programmes.

Requirements:

• Applicants must be young people based in Nigeria.
• Applicants should have a relevant academic background.
• Applicants must demonstrate their expectations from the programme and explain how the experience aligns with their future ambitions.
• Successful candidates must have secured accommodation in Abuja for the programme period.
